Concert starts 7:45, goes on live radio 8pm-10pm, 2 Jazz bands perform live and broadcasted

    Maurice will contact Capt. Jackson- need 2 non uniform, no black and whites from 7p-10:30p

    Maurice will confirm with Doug once the line is in, aiming for Sat. 11.3

o Set-up-

    Need 2 volunteers at 5pm to help bring in radio equipment, CBE will help ID folks

WTO Rally- November 9

<sum> In response to the World Trade Organization‚s meeting in Qatar, protest rallies are happening across the globe

<sum> LEJ and BVHP Advocates have been planning with Bay Area groups against PG&E

<sum> On November 9, at noon, Justin Herman Plaza, rally and march to PG&E‚s headquarters on Beale St.

US Navy Base Closure Manager Q&A

Marie Avery (US Navy-619.532.0949) and Maude Bullock (ADI) answered questions and asked questions for close to 1 hour with CFC members, following are some highlights of our conservation:

o Dry Dock #4- filling the pipes with concrete, rather than clean-up was an "interim action∑no final determination of cleanup plans." M. Avery

o RAB members and RAB meetings- M. Avery wants to move forward and provide information at RAB meetings. Some of her suggestions and ideas:

(1) agendas in advance of meetings

(2) Committee chairs provide in writing who attended meetings, agenda ideas, committee recommendations

(3) Committees need to establish in writing rules and process

(4) M. Avery meeting with RAB co-chairs, committee chairs

(5) M. Avery believes Bechtel‚s losing applications is unacceptable (Lani, Georgia, Julian)

(6) M. Avery believes RAB should vote on location of meetings, she reported the past 4 votes have picked the Police Station

(7) M. Avery supports the idea of M. Pentagrass, new facilitator, conduct a workshop with RAB members

Water Board new RAB member Q&A

Michael Rochette (510.622.2411) has replaced Brad Job, as the Water Board RAB member

He has worked for the Water Board for 7 years and has worked on Mare Island, geology background
